The National Clinician Consultation Center’s mission is to improve patient health outcomes by building the capacity of healthcare providers through expert clinical consultation and education.
Our staff clinicians are practicing physicians, nurses, and pharmacists
A committed staff of practicing clinicians from the University of California, San Francisco provide our consultation services. The Center is a part of UCSF’s Department of Family and Community Medicine at San Francisco General Hospital, institutions that have been leaders in providing HIV/AIDS services since early in the epidemic.

We have more than 20 years of expertise consulting on HIV/AIDS care
Since 1993, the Center has supported primary care doctors, nurse practitioners, OB/GYNs, infectious disease specialists, RNs, LVNs, physician assistants, and more through direct consultation from leading clinicians and through provision of up-to-date knowledge on HIV care. We’ve seen great improvements as care has evolved, and we’ve worked to continually adapt to the treatment and knowledge needs of our community.
