In support of National HIV Testing Day (June 27), the NCCC would like to encourage all health care providers, regardless of practice setting or location, to offer HIV testing to adolescents and adults, including pregnant persons. For providers interested in more information, this brief review of HIV care includes details on screening and testing as well as up-to-date guidance on the initial management of persons diagnosed with HIV. Health care providers are also welcome to call our national HIV/AIDS Management tele-consultation service for free advice on HIV testing including questions regarding HIV test interpretation and initiation of HIV care in newly diagnosed patients.
